late last night, I heard
pouring torrents weep
slapping slick wet welps
above our room.

its rhythm pulse stirred
as i found my way into you.

rivuleting gold flickers
streamed patterns
lit up by the backlight

wet steam of
rainwebs blurred reality
as i went undercover
to taste you.

while the rain pelted its pulse
you found yours
a surrendered blending of splashing hot streams

neverending surrendering.

within the storm sound
its light flashing in silent screams
far into our secret coven
we remained
abandoned in our pursuit
of riding it out with glee.

trembles in the ancient echos of misplaced souls

and turns inwardly

absorbing the fading colour of others

leaving only murmurs of unfulfilled desires

to fill the emptiness of my heart.

inside an ancestral din

pulling me back from the lonely edge of darkness

onto a pinebow creche

layered in the down of soft comfort

cradled in your arms,
i feel your lips softly brush against the nape of my neck,
your warm breath reminding me of my existence,
reassuring me.......

i'm not one of the lost souls.

it is only then that i settle inside our shared sigh,

protected
